    The work I am making for the Neither Use Nor Ornament exhibition bears only a passing resemblance to the work I originally proposed for the project way back in 2017. No surprise though as that is what generally happens when I begin to work on something new. Initial ideas become the research and new ideas develop from these.     This week I have been concentrating on making work for the Art Language Location Festival, taking place in Cambridge in October. My work, entitled ‘Embroider the Truth’ will be located at the Museum of Cambridge, in their tea room and will be composed of a series of lace doilies designed out of words from Clarice’s diary that reference tea.     The beginning of a new project and I feel I should stress this is not the end of Clarice, but a project that I will be working on alongside my work with Clarice’s archive. Start the Press.     I seem to be working on 3 different bodies of work at the moment and although they appear to be very different, using different techniques they do in fact have a great deal linking them together.
